Breakfast with Swift Silliker

Swift Silliker recently hosted client days in Cape Town and Midrand to tell customers about new developments in local food regulations. The breakfast sessions were held on 28 February 2013 in Midrand (Johannesburg) and 1 March 2013 in Cape Town.

Penny Campbell (Deputy Director, Directorate Food Control at the Department of Health) addressed guests about current regulations and what to expect in 2013. Mention was made of the requirements of the regulations related to the advertising and labelling of foodstuffs (R146 of 2010). These regulations also stipulate the requirements for mandatory nutritional information on food product labels.

Approximately 200 guests from industry attended the events.
